Our members are adults navigating full lives: balancing careers, family commitments, school runs, businesses, and somehow still finding the time to rehearse and memorise complex music.

Many of our singers have known each other – and the conductor – since their primary school and teenage years. They come with deep musical roots, having sung in world-class choirs and competed internationally from a young age. This shared history, combined with the depth that comes from lived experience, brings a special maturity and emotional nuance to our music-making.

OUR REPERTOIRE

At Voces Cordis, our repertoire embraces a wide spectrum of styles, from timeless sacred works and classical choral pieces to contemporary compositions, folk songs, and vibrant spirituals. This variety reflects the richness of our choir community – each member bringing their own life experience and musical background to the ensemble. The result is a programme that blends tradition with innovation, offering audiences moments of reflection, joy, and inspiration. Above all, we strive to perform music that connects deeply with both singers and listeners, carrying the true meaning of our name: ‘voices of the heart’.
